Dog-friendly holidays in the Cotswolds

Updated: Aug 24, 2021

We love welcoming guests to the beautiful Cotswolds countryside and think it's only fair if your four-legged friends can come and enjoy a holiday too!

All of our 8 holiday cottages in the Cotswolds are dog-friendly and there are lots of wonderful walks, attractions and pubs to enjoy during your stay.

Century House is our stunning Grade II listed cottage located in Moreton in Marsh that sleeps 6+2. The town is surrounded by lots of lovely villages to explore but we would recommend visiting the delightful Batsford Arboretum which is home to one of the finest botanical collections in the country and a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon.

You could even drive a little bit further to Broadway Tower who have a lovely circular walk and a "doggy playground" (pictured below) where you can enjoy some fun with your pooch with lovely views. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed up the tower itself.

We have 4 dog-friendly holiday cottages in Bourton on the Water. The village looks truly stunning in autumn and winter and there is lots of Cotswolds countryside to explore in all directions.

Ivy Cottage sleeps 6, The Lansdowne Cottage sleeps 4, Woodbine Cottage sleeps 6, and our brand-new gorgeous Grade II listed Darly Cottage sleeps 8.

One of our favourites is a walk to Lower and Upper Slaughter. Both villages are truly beautiful and both have lots of water for you your dogs to enjoy a paddle.

A little afield, the Cotswold Wildlife Park boasts 160 acres of stunning gardens and Parkland. Dogs may be brought into the Park provided that they are kept on a lead.

Just outside Bourton on the Water in the lovely village of Cold Aston, you will find our delightful Greystones Cottage, a 300 year old Cotswold stone barn. Cold Aston is surrounded by lots of wonderful countryside and has a fantastic village pub, The Plough.

A walk we really enjoy is heading to Notgrove and stopping for drink and bite to eat at The Nuttery (pictured below), a lovely new cafe in the village.

Last, but by no means least, is our charming Way Cottage that is nestled in the market town of Lechlade-on-Thames and was set up as a real home away from home.

Unwind by heading to The Riverside and The Trout Inn and watch the world go by next to the river.

Like every town in the Cotswolds, Lechlade is surround by lots of beautiful villages. Eastleach, Filkins and Kelmscott are all lovely and peaceful.
